Invader ZIM Vol. 7 Review

invader zim vol 7
Rating: 4/5

Synopsis: In the 7th volume of the Invader Zim comic series, more hijinks pursue as Dib continues to attempt to expose Zim's true identity and a two issue storyline about Zim trying to escape prison after failing to pay his credit card bill.

My Thoughts: Not unlike the previous volumes, the comic adaptation manages to emulate the spirit of the show in its random and absurdist humor despite Jhonen Vasquez's absence. The art is also very similar to that of the cartoon except for the story by K.C Green (this in no way is a criticism of him, however). Recap Kid, as usual, appears before every issue being his typical frenetic self who, as one of my friends said, 'needs to cut the sugar' before he gets a diabetic attack.

Final Thoughts: If you enjoyed the previous trades of the series along with the Nicktoon, this collection will likely satiate your palate for comics.
